At Seymour Park, we warmly welcome children and families from our local community. As a community Primary School, we are maintained by Trafford Local Authority (Council).
This means that Trafford manages our school’s admissions, with the exception of Nursery placements. The authority determines which children are offered a place at Seymour Park based on their Admissions Criteria. Our school has a Published Admissions Number (PAN) of 84 pupils per year group.
You can find detailed information about Trafford’s admissions process on their website. For further assistance, the Trafford Admissions team can be reached at 0161 912 5007.
Nursery
The school nursery does not fall into this category, so we manage admissions to our Nursery.
Please refer to our Nursery Admissions Policy for information on how we determine admission.
Our school nursery is open Monday - Friday, term time only.
Our session times are as follows:
- Morning Sessions: 8.45am - 11.45am
- Afternoon Sessions: 12.30pm - 3.30pm
- Full-time Sessions: 8.45am - 3.30pm
A child can only be placed in one of the above sessions. No mixed sessions are available, and attendance is expected for 5 sessions per week.
Full-time sessions are funded by using a 30-hour government funded code. Please click on the following link for the eligibility criteria: https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/
In addition to the 30-hour funding, there is an additional fee of £2.20 per day. This covers the one-hour lunchtime supervision provided for your child (this does not cover the cost of your child's meal, which must be provided from home).
If you are not eligible for the 30-hour government funding, you may claim your 15 hours universal funding and use our top-up facility, chargeable at £90.00 per week to receive a full-time place.
All fees and charges are reviewed on an annual basis.

Secondary School Admissions
Trafford manages the Admissions process for entrance to secondary school on-line. There are also paper copies of the admissions forms sent to Year 5 pupils at the end of the summer term of Year 5. These are sent directly to the home address, not to school. Please contact the Admissions Team on 0161 912 5007 if you need help completing the forms online or paper. Please come and speak to us if you are not sure what to do.
